Techcombank changes senior figure

13/08/2013

HA NOI (Biz Hub) ― Management board member Do Tuan Anh had been assigned as acting general director of Techcombank to supersede Simon Morris, who had resigned due to personal reasons, the bank announced in a press release on Tuesday.

"The board believes the appointment will help Techcombank further pursue the changing directions and business strategies that we have been successfully implementing," said the bank's chairman Ho Hung Anh.

Tuan Anh said that, in the short term, the bank would concentrate on fulfilling this year's business targets and completing business capacity.

Having started working for Techcombank in August 2007, Tuan Anh has held several key positions, including senior management board assistant, supervisory board chief, as well as strategy and development director. He also used to be a manager at the State Bank of Viet Nam.

Tuan Anh completed a masters degree in investment asset administration at the Singapore Management University.

Hung Anh said Techcombank highly appreciated Simon Morris's contribution to enhancing professional standards and developing key staff competencies for the bank. ― VNS
