SBV sells off 26,000 taels of gold today

HA NOI (Homeid) — The State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) sold all 26,000 taels of gold it put up for auction on Thursday morning. Fifteen credit institutions purchased the gold with winning bids ranging from VND37.48-37.73 million (US$1,784-1,796) per tael.

Since March 28, the SBV has held 42 auctions and sold 1.142,9 million taels or about 44 tonnes of gold.

The SJC gold price was listed at VND37.1-37.7 million ($1,766-1,784) per tael (buy-sell) today, while the price on the global gold trading site kitco.com stood at $1,546.7 per tael. — VNS
